Miss P.E.A.R.L. of Dallas 2008 - Tiana Alexander

Tiana Shuntae Alexander is the daughter of Timothy and Angela Alexander. Tiana is a 2008 graduate from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. She is currently a freshman attending Grambling State University.

As a theater major, Tiana has been featured in performances all across Texas.

She is currently portraying characters in “Crowns” and “Old Man Pete” on her university campus.

Tiana aspires to be an actress or a news anchor when she graduates from college. However, in addition to acting, Tiana loves to give back to her community. She has volunteered over 100 hours at the Baylor Hospital in the junior volunteer program. She is a member of the New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, and the Dreams Summer Enrichment program at the Black Academy of Arts and Letters. As Miss P.E.A.R.L. of Dallas 2008, Tiana enjoys being a Poised, Elegant, and Respon-sible Leader, and she wears her pearls with pride.

“Before P.E.A.R.L. Girls, I thought etiquette was for old people. But, now I know that having manners is just another way of respecting others. The workshops were exciting, and I’ll never forget what I learned because I use it every day."
