P.E.A.R.L. Girls is currently experiencing an exciting time of transition. This August, the Founder of P.E.A.R.L. Girls, Keisha Howard, will be graduating with a Master’s Degree in Counseling specializing in school, adolescent, and teen counseling. Therefore, our regular programming of etiquette and self-esteem workshops for girls is limited during the summer of 2010.
During this summer, we are providing one workshop, “Empower Hours” on June 12th for girls ages 7-12. This workshop is focusing on Body Image Appreciation, Selecting Positive Role Models, Etiquette, and Self-Esteem. This workshop is currently full to capacity.
We will return to our regular programming beginning in September of 2010 when we will offer more empowering and educational programs for girls. Please sign up for our newsletter so that you will be kept abreast of all of our upcoming programs for girls.
Ms. Howard is also initiating a Body Image and Self-Esteem counseling/support group for girls ages 11-16, beginning in September 2010. If your daughter is struggling with Body Image and Self-Esteem issues, this group may be a helpful resource for her. Please contact Ms. Howard at Keisha@pearl-girls.org for more information.
